The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is a networking conference where 200 carefully selected young researchers in mathematics and computer science spend a week interacting with the laureates of some of the most prestigious prizes in those disciplines: recipients of the Abel Prize, ACM A.M. Turing Award, ACM Prize in Computing, Fields Medal, IMU Abacus Medal and Nevanlinna Prize.
Established in 2013, the HLF takes place each year in September. It is organized by the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation (HLFF), which is funded by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung. With scientific and social program elements that emphasize the personal exchange among participants, the HLF provides space for ideas to take shape and evolve, motivating and inspiring the next generation of scientists.
