Sandpit Workshop in our studio in Heidelberg

Are you eager to develop pioneering research projects within an interdisciplinary group? We invite you to design a Sandpit Workshop on a topic of your choice, in collaboration with us, at Studio Villa Bosch! The Klaus Tschira Foundation will cover all associated costs.

Would you like to work in interdisciplinary groups across disciplines and career levels, developing forward-looking projects in an exceptional environment? Great, so do we!

We are pleased to offer you this opportunity and look forward to receiving your application for a Sandpit Workshop on a research topic of your choice in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics, and computer science. This format allows for a high degree of intellectual openness and thus the chance for a diversity of ideas and solutions. The workshop will be supervised by a Programme Manager of the Klaus Tschira Stiftung in the respective field.

How we organize the Sandpit Workshop together with you

Your one- to three-day scientific Sandpit will take place in the conference rooms of the Villa Bosch in Heidelberg. To bring together creative teams across disciplines and career levels, we offer successful applicants to cover all costs (travel expenses, accommodation and meals for all participants, conference costs, childcare if necessary, etc.). We will provide accommodation in an attractive hotel in Heidelberg as well as the local organizational support.

We are committed to supporting the professional and personal diversity of the selected participants. Therefore, please contact us if you need childcare for your child or if you need to bring an accompanying person to the event due to a physical disability, for example. We will also provide a moderator to help you create a highly interactive format. You will be responsible for the scientific program of the event, while we design the interactive program in consultation with you.
